an immersive textile installation, intertwining alternative approaches to traditional techniques such as fabric dyeing, hand embroidery and knitting. this is a site specific piece responding to Slades Farm in Bournemouth, exploring the experiences of public parks as a woman. through this piece i ask, is this really a public space if not everyone feels safe there?
the viewer is invited to stand within the cocoon and view from the inside.
